Northern Lights ushered in opening of walleye season. The lake was very calm this morning but now there's a bit of a wind. There's still plenty of work to be done as we've "hit the deck running" once again.

Despite some heavy rain yesterday there's still mushy ice floating around the lake, but there's a lot of open water. We just need a strong wind to move it around, then it would melt completely. Don won't put any docks in until all the ice is gone, not taking a chance...

This photo is a little deceiving as there is still ice out in the middle of Manion. There's a huge open area across from the island and with wind and rain the mushy ice will quickly be gone. Since midnight we have received 25.66 mm of rain, good for lake levels.

The ice is looking pretty mushy and we see more open water along shore line and between the islands. 8C this morning with an east wind, that will move the ice around.
