Well, it’s not every day you get to rescue a calf moose. Some guests that were fishing on Manion heard this calf bawling as it had slipped into the water from a bit of a cliff and couldn’t get itself back out. Momma moose couldn’t get down to help her calf. The guests came back and got Don and Greg who went out and helped the little guy. It was pretty tired, it was having a difficult time crawling around the underbrush. Although the guys didn’t see the mom, we’re hoping the two have been reunited.

Yesterday was a busy but good day filled with portages, doing repairs, checking bear baits, rescuing a calf moose. Life is good.
