We saw this poor little guy at the 10km corners on the Manion Road when we were on our way to town yesterday. I had a protein bar in my bag so we stopped and threw it out to him. He wasn’t afraid of us, he stayed on the snowbank looking sad, lonely and cold. This bear should have been denned up for the winter but we had some rain prior to the snow so he could have gotten flooded out of his den. He’s also pretty young, this is likely his first winter alone so he has to manage all this snow and cold by himself.

We let the MNR know about this bear and hopefully they will be able to find him and give him some food and shelter.

We’ve been in an extreme cold warning since Wednesday afternoon, temperatures are to warm up for the weekend. Everyone has had enough of winter and it has just started.
