Well we received close to 30 cm (1 foot) of snow over the weekend. The lake froze just before we got this heavy dump of snow but we’re pretty sure the lake won’t be very safe for a while.

Brenda was away on a “girl’s trip” to Tofino, British Columbia and she returned just last night. Although the roads were snow covered the drive home from Winnipeg was slow but uneventful until I got to the Manion Road. Don had been getting a new plow installed on his truck but that installation didn’t get finished until yesterday afternoon. A friend of ours brought the truck out from town before Brenda got home. Don left camp with another truck, lots of snow on the road, he ended up getting stuck. Luckily he had a snowmachine in the back of that truck so he snowmobiled to the 12km to pick me up. Home safe and sound, Don is out plowing the road this morning.
