Ugg, it’s another cold morning, minus 38C which is minus 36.4F. We continue to be in an extreme cold weather warning, this is our fourth day. The cold isn’t just difficult for us humans but for the animals and birds as well. The dogs don’t even want to go outside in the morning or late evening. The horses wait patiently for the sun to warm them up huddling close to buildings or in amongst the trees. Yesterday while out for a snowshoe I spotted this grouse which had almost buried itself in the snow to keep warm. Can you spot the grouse? The dogs didn’t even notice it until I made a noise with my snowshoes and it flew away.
