We had more open water along the shoreline yesterday but it dropped below 0C last night so we had some freezing going on. Hopefully it will warm up and we’ll see more ice melting. There’s been a lot of snow melt around the yard and the lake is beginning to get that spring look.
Looks like we’re in for a bit of wild, windy weather that might help the break up.
Today’s forecast – Clearing this morning. Wind becoming northwest 20 km/h this morning then becoming southwest 20 gusting to 40 late this afternoon. High plus 3. Wind chill minus 14 this morning.
Tonight Increasing cloudiness early this evening. 60 percent chance of rain showers or flurries. Wind southwest 40 km/h gusting to 80 becoming west 20 gusting to 40 before morning. Low plus 1.
