Yesterday Don and I drove where they are logging to what has been called the “Manion Peninsula”. This is the piece of land that is between Mount and Sandbeach Lakes. Look closely and you will see there is already a lot of wood ready to be hauled away. The company that is doing the cutting is using what is called a processor. This method does everything in the bush at the site of the cut. So all the branches are left on the forest floor, there will be no need to have slash piles along the sides of the road.
