The ice was thick enough for us to go out to inspect the damage of the deer kill. Hannah and Jasper had already been out enjoying what the wolves had left. We found that there had been 4 wolves, it was a small doe and they must have gotten it just before sunrise because the carcass was still warm. The eagles and ravens flew in shortly after and began cleaning the site up.
Last night we could hear the dogs barking, they were way out on the lake, probably telling the wolves to stay away.

It’s minus 3C this morning, cloudy and a little misty. Don’s group of hunters are all ready for a day of hunting.

Today’s forecast -Mainly cloudy with 40 percent chance of flurries and risk of freezing drizzle. Wind becoming south 20 km/h early this afternoon. High zero.
Tonight Mainly cloudy. Risk of freezing drizzle. Wind south 20 km/h becoming light late this evening. Low minus 4.
