The morning has quickly warmed up, it was minus 1C at 6am and now at 8am it’s 8C. As we look down the lake towards the portage you can see how a calm lake. We had a few portages yesterday so I bet the guys are out trying to catch some trout. Walleye season doesn’t open till tomorrow.
Don has been out early this morning checking minnow traps, he’s already reported that he has had to move traps, not a good sign for today. There’s still a lot of work left to be done.
