Hooray for Hendrick as he caught the largest walleye of the group! This one was 26.5 inches and he caught it while bobber fishing. We have a warm day in store for us today with a chance of strong thunderstorms. Typical weather for the summer.

Now that's a beautiful walleye and it's back in the lake. We appreciate the big ones going back into the lake, that's the breeding stock. We have a cloudy morning but we should have a mix of sun and cloud by this afternoon.

It's official! The ice went out yesterday afternoon and Don got the main dock in as well as his boat. A sure sign of the beginning of the season. One more week till walleye opener!

Looks are deceiving. There is still ice at the far end of the lake. We were definitely excited to watch the ice move away from the main part of the lake yesterday.

We're getting excited! With a northwest wind the ice has moved out from the shore. Who knows, the ice might be gone later today, especially if the wind picks up.
