This photo was taken early yesterday evening, showing smoke over the lake. We had strong winds throughout the day and some how sparked multiple fires in our region. One of the fires was in Mine Centre, unfortunately one family lost their house. 3 water bombers working the fire saved other houses. This all served us notice to be prepared to protect our buildings and to plan in case we ever need to be evacuated. And to make sure if you have a campfire that it is dead, dead out. Never leave a fire unattended.
We also enjoyed some much needed sun and warmth yesterday. But today we’re back into the sweater weather. Although we had coffee on the deck we had to use blankets. The forecast for Tuesday is 2C and maybe even some snow.
