Saw this snapping turtle at Pettit Lake #1 last night. I think it was looking for dinner. Don’t let your catch of the day hang from the dock, because if you do this guy would be happy to indulge.

We had quite the storm roll through around 8 this morning. Don was portaging guests and he said it was the worst storm he’s seen while at the portage. Wind, rain, lightning and thunder, trees coming down. You couldn’t see the shore or the island the rain was that intense. We’re expecting more rain later this afternoon. Typical July weather!
