Temperatures dipped to minus 6C overnight, puddles are frozen, there’s hoar frost on the trees and the lake is covered with fog.

Yesterday, Allison and I attempted to be on the lake for the sunset, we missed it by a few minutes. But after the sun went below the horizon the lake began making all kinds of noises. Lots of loud cracks and booming. We could also hear the water sloshing around underneath the ice. There’s plenty of ice to be standing on the lake but it was a bit eerie to hear all the sounds. Once this fog lifts we may see the sunshine and hopefully we’ll get ourselves set up for the sunset.
