Woke up to this this morning, wind is out of the east so that means it’s a pretty good storm. We are not in a snowfall warning, just a weather advisory. I expect the roads will be a bit nasty today. Our temperatures have been like a yo-yo. Yesterday afternoon it was minus 10C, in the evening it was minus 19C this morning minus 12C. After this storm blows through our temperatures will dive back down again.
Don rode up to Mount Lake yesterday. There’s a lot of slush once you get past Pettit Lake. This snow won’t help with the slush at all.
Today’s forecast – Snow at times heavy and local blowing snow. Amount 10 to 15 cm. Wind east 20 km/h becoming light near noon. Wind becoming northwest 30 gusting to 50 late this afternoon. High minus 3. Wind chill minus 22 this morning and minus 8 this afternoon.
Tonight Periods of snow and local blowing snow. Wind northwest 30 km/h gusting to 50. Low minus 20. Wind chill minus 15 this evening and minus 30 overnight. Risk of frostbite.
