This is wolf number 4 for Don this year and we believe it is one of the pack that killed our pup Frankie. It’s also the second wolf in two days that Don snared at the portage. These wolves came down from Pettit, crossed the portage, down Manion towards camp and in our bay they veered off into the bush. We shut the dogs in at night but over the past few nights Jasper still wanted to go out and check to make sure everyone was safe. I’m sure he can sense when the wolves are close.
Christmas holidays are now over, kids have all gone back home and things are getting back to normal. We certainly enjoyed the mild weather and getting out lake trout fishing.

Today’s forecast – Mainly sunny. Wind up to 15 km/h. High minus 2. Wind chill minus 18 this morning and minus 7 this afternoon.
Tonight Increasing cloudiness. Periods of snow beginning late this evening. Amount 2 cm. Wind becoming west 20 km/h near midnight. Low minus 8. Wind chill minus 9 this evening and minus 17 overnight.
