Sunday June 30, 2019

This photo was taken at 4:57 this morning, gorgeous red sky but you know the old saying..”red sky in morning, sailors take warning.” We were woken up a couple of times throughout the night, once around 3am with wind gusting to 30km so we shut all the windows. But then we were awoken once again at 4am, winds were gusting to 68km – now that is strong for here. Boats were bouncing but only one dock was injured in the storm and that was what we call our dock where we have our pontoon boat. There was no rain, this is all the storm left for us, a gorgeous sky and a beautiful calm morning.
The heat warning has ended but we will still be hot but no storms have been forecasted.
Today’s forecast – Today Cloudy with 40 percent chance of showers early this morning and risk of a thunderstorm. Clearing this morning. Wind becoming west 20 km/h this afternoon. High 28. Humidex 32. UV index 9 or very high.
