Don and friends had an adventurous weekend as they went to Sandbeach and did a lot of cleaning up. The old ice house is now gone and a lot of brush was burnt. They had a fire pump handy and kept the area well wetted down so nothing got out of control. You can see in the background that the ice has moved from the shoreline so it won’t be too long before the ice is off the trout lakes.
The ice on Manion is just about all gone, we can see ice at the far end of the lake. With expected wind and rain this will definitely be all gone by tomorrow. It’s going to be a hot day today so a really good day to be outside and getting some yard work accomplished.
