Well we have returned to the land of ice and snow after 8 fabulous days in Santa Teresa, Costa Rica. Although Don did state many times that it was “way too hot for him” the rest of us enjoyed the heat. It was usually 27C by 6:30 in the morning and reached into the 30’s feeling more like 40C in the afternoon, it would cool down (27C) again in the evening. We sure liked the fact that we didn’t need any long underwear, coats, boots or toques.
No surprise here, but one of our adventures was going fishing. Allison caught the largest – a red snapper. I can’t remember how many fish we caught in total but we had red snapper, grouper, banano fish, mackerel, and another type that I can’t remember the name. Our guides were great and we had a lot of laughs.
Now that we’re back it’s time to get to work. Don will head up to Sandbeach to check out the trails and to get organized for his work to come.
Weather is more comfortable for Don today – minus 7C this morning.
Today’s forecast -A mix of sun and cloud. High minus 1. UV index 3 or moderate.
Tonight Mainly cloudy. 30 percent chance of flurries overnight. Low minus 12.
