It has been a very busy week as we hosted the Emergency Response Team (ERT) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP). Alex and I did have the opportunity to have a flight with their helicopter to get a bird’s eye view of logging activity that has been taking place. This is a cut directly behind camp. The road you see here is not our road but the road the loggers have made to get to the cut and haul out the logs. This will actually make for a good trail to walk on and it will also make for some good moose to graze.
We’re hoping to get out fishing this weekend. It’s a long weekend so Allison and Alex will join us for some fun.
We’ve had a week of temperatures bouncing up and down. Wednesday we saw a high of plus 2C, then on Thursday it dipped again to minus 27C. It’s not too bad this morning, minus 11C but there’s a wind to make it feel colder.
Today’s forecast -A mix of sun and cloud with 40 percent chance of flurries. Wind becoming west 20 km/h gusting to 40 early this afternoon. High minus 8.
Tonight Partly cloudy. 40 percent chance of flurries early this evening. Wind west 20 km/h gusting to 40 becoming light late this evening. Low minus 22.
