This is Jasper burying himself in the snow because he was so hot from running in the bush. He didn’t mind if I put snow on top of him either.
He didn’t need to cool off yesterday as the temperatures have dropped considerably. It’s minus 18C this morning and cloudy.
Don went to his Barber Lake trapline yesterday to check snares. He got 2 wolves. He has now lifted all his snares – no more trapping for a while yet. He also took a ride up to Mount Lake to break trail and he’s reporting that there’s a lot of slush on all the lakes. I knew the great conditions wouldn’t last.
