Although I was up early it has taken me a while to get a photo for today. It’s “bath time” for the chickens. They enjoy digging in the dirt to make a hole so they can dust themselves. Some of the holes are quite deep. We have about 30 hens but they haven’t started laying yet, hopefully they will soon.
Don’s off again this morning to town to complete some roofing projects. Today should be their last day.
We had 2 bear hunters hunting last night, one hunter watch a little guy for a while but no shots taken. Some of the hunters are trying their luck at duck hunting.
It was a warm and windy evening, 20C at 5:30 this morning, makes it hard to believe it’s September. The forecast suggests morning showers will end and we’ll have a mix of sun and cloud. Risk of thunderstorms early this afternoon. Wind southwest 20 km/h. High 25.
Tonight Mainly cloudy. 60 percent chance of showers overnight with risk of a thunderstorm. Wind southwest 20 km/h becoming light this evening. Low 19.
Archery moose hunt begins on Saturday, the guides and hunters sure hope weather will cool off.
