What should I bring when staying at Manion Lake?

  • Clothing-be prepared for all types of weather
  • Rain gear
  • Personal items – soap, towel, sunglasses, sunscreen, prescription medication
  • Camera
  • Insect repellent, mosquito coils
  • Flashlight, extra batteries, matches
  • Small first aid kit
  • Food and refreshments
  • Drinking water
  • Fishing gear and tackle, filet knife,
  • Life jackets are mandatory in the boat, we have them if you are renting a boat
  • Passport or other identification to cross the border
  • Outdoors card (even if it has expired)
  • If you purchased your fishing licence online bring the paper print out.

Boating Essentials – What you should know/have if you are bringing your own boat

Regulations state that:

  • there must be one life jacket per person per boat
  • there must be a safety kit in your boat; the kit is to contain the following: tow rope, whistle, flashlight, bailing can (the bailing can could be your container)
