I'm not sure if I have ever seen sun dogs like this in the morning. A sun dog is an atmospherical optical phenomenon caused by sunlight refracting off ice crystals. I have always thought that when I see sun dogs it would mean cold weather. Well we sure are having the cold weather although today is somewhat warmer, minus 29C with a wind chill of minus 36C. This cold hasn't deterred me from getting outside for an afternoon walk, Jasper and Cedar look forward to the outing whereas Hannah prefers to stay inside where it's warm.
